Product Description

The scrap aluminum shredder is a specialized crushing machine designed for processing various types of scrap aluminum products. Taking into account the characteristics of aluminum—soft texture, high ductility, and ease of deformation—it employs a dual-shaft shredding structure featuring “low speed and high torque.”


Product Advantages

1. Specialized shredding design for aluminum products: Unlike shredders for mixed metals, the blade hardness and cutting angle are optimized for aluminum's ductility — the hardness is lower than that of steel shredder blades (to prevent excessive shredding and waste of aluminum shavings), and the cutting edge forms a 30° sharp angle (for precise cutting along aluminum product seams).
2. Low loss and high recovery rate: Aluminum is prone to “cold welding” (aluminum shavings sticking together into blocks) during crushing. The equipment controls this through a precise 1-2mm gap between the blade shafts, combined with an anti-adhesive coating on the blade surface, resulting in smooth edges on the crushed aluminum blocks with no fine aluminum powder, achieving a metal recovery rate of over 99%.
3. Strong energy efficiency: The crushing resistance of aluminum is only 1/5 that of steel, and the motor power of the equipment is 40% lower than that of similarly specified metal shredders.
4. Oxidation prevention and cleanliness control: All components within the equipment that come into contact with aluminum (such as the feed hopper and discharge guide plates) are made of stainless steel and are equipped with compressed air blowing devices to continuously clean residual aluminum shavings from the blades during the crushing process, preventing the shavings from oxidizing and turning black in the air.
5. Modular Compatible Design: Compatible with dedicated aluminum product sorting lines, the discharge port is equipped with a magnetic iron remover (to remove mixed iron impurities) and a density screening plate (to separate aluminum from plastic components, such as plastic lids from aluminum beverage cans).
